On this page you can read, order or download the popular science magazine Barentswatch and other publications from Bioforsk Soil and Environment, Svanhovd. Since 1993 Bioforsk Svanhovd has focused on research pertaining to nature, environmental research and cooperation in the Barents Region. This work has resulted in a number of publications about nature and environment in the northern regions. In 1995 Svanhovd began publishing the popular science magazine Barentswatch that serves as a showcase for environmental cooperation and knowledge production in the northern areas. Barentswatch is published once a year, and is published in both printed and digital editions in three languages: Norwegian, English and Russian.

Conference “Oil and Gas Industry and Sustainable Development in the Barents Region”.
The international conference “Oil and Gas Industry and Sustainable Development in the Barents Region” were arranged in Murmansk on November 9th and 10th 2005. The purpose of the conference was to create an arena where the participants could relate and discuss the mutual challenges and experiences connected to the petroleum activity, onshore and offshore. The conference brought together representatives from Russian and Norwegian NGOs, oil companies and members of the local community in both countries.
